QUETTA: Chief Minister Baluchistan Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has announced to closure of Zakat department, CM apprised 1.6 billion spent on the distribution of 300 million.
He stated that the Zakat Department distributes 300 million rupees annually to the deserving individuals in Baluchistan. However, to distribute these 300 million rupees, the department incurs a cost of 1.6 billion rupees.
He further explained that the Zakat Department has 80 vehicles for distribution, and for the past two years, the Zakat money has not been distributed among the deserving individuals.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti also mentioned that the 300 million rupees will be distributed to the poor through the Deputy Commissioners.
