KARACHI: In Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, robbers looted the driver and staff of the Peoples Bus Service.
The incident took place at the last stop of the Peoples Bus Service in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, where the staff was held hostage and robbed of millions of rupees.
The driver of the bus, Sher Jan, told the police that while he and the other staff members were sitting at the Gulshan-e-Hadeed stop, six individuals arrived in a vehicle. Two of them stayed in the vehicle while four got out. One of the robbers was wearing a mask. Using weapons, they forced the staff into the bus, where the conductor and cashier were seated.
Sher Jan claimed that the robbers took around 11.5 million rupees at gunpoint, and also snatched weapons and mobile phones from the security guard.
SSP Malir stated that evidence is being collected from the scene, a report has been filed, and efforts are being made to track down the culprits
