In a statement, the embassy pledged full cooperation in investigating the incident and reaffirmed commitment to safeguard the rights and safety of all foreign nationals within its territory.
Eight Punjabi were brutally killed in Iran’s Sistan and Baluschistan province, allegedly by an anti-Pakistan terrorist group.
According to sources, the victims were resident of southern Punjab. At least eight Pakistani nationals, who worked as car mechanics in Iran’s restive Sistan and Baluchestan province, were shot dead by gunmen.
The firing incident took place at a workshop situated in Mehrestan district near the Afghanistan border, according to Iranian media.
Six of the slain men belonged to Bahawalpur’s rural area, Khanqa Sharif, while the remaining two were from Tehsil Ahmedpur Sharqia.
