TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran would not “bow to any bully” in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s criticism of Tehran during his Gulf tour.
Pezeshkian said, Trump is hoping to demotivate Iranians and create divisions within the country. “You will only achieve that goal in your dreams. Iran will continue its progress with or without a deal.”
The Iranian president also condemned Trump for suggesting that Iran is supporting “terrorism”, reminding him that he in fact ordered the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, an Iranian commander who spearheaded the fight against Daesh terrorists during the 2010s. General Soleimani lost his life in a 2020 U.S. drone attack in Baghdad.
“You have tried to bring Iran to its knees for the past 47 years. We have existed for thousands of years and will continue as one for the years to come.”
The Iranian president responded to criticisms made by the U.S president, Donald Trump. he stated that, he wants to end proxy wars between countries and seeks to make an agreement with Iran. He warned that if an agreement with Iran is not reached, he will impose strict economic sanctions on Iran.
It should be that, United States has imposed new sanctions on Iran’s ballistic missile program.
Trump administration has also recently imposed multiple sanctions on individuals and entities related to Iran’s oil industry and nuclear program.
