WEB DESK: A well-known Indian YouTuber has been arrested in India on charges of spying for Pakistan.
According to Indian media, popular travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra was taken into custody from Hisar, a city in the Indian state of Haryana. Jyoti runs a YouTube channel called Travel With Jo, which has over 350,000 subscribers. She is also quite popular on Instagram.
Reports indicate that Jyoti Malhotra has visited Pakistan twice in the past.In addition to Jyoti Malhotra, five other individuals have also been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan.
It is worth noting that Indian media recently claimed that two individuals were arrested in Indian Punjab on similar charges of espionage for Pakistan. According to these reports, the suspects were allegedly spying for an official of the Pakistani High Commission, with one accused of leaking information about Indian military movements. One of the two arrested individuals was reported to be a woman.
