Karachi: District Administration on Friday all of sudden sealed as many as 25 marriage halls in Surjani Town.
The people who have their marriages in these marriage halls today have expressed their sufferings as they can’t arrange alternate place for their marriages.
They said that we are middle class people and we can’t arrange substitue of the marriage hall on the emergency basis.
They complained that where we will hold our daughters marriages.
In their response, the marriage hall association said that Deputy Commissioner conducted the action without any prior notice.
On the other hand, Deputy Administrator Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) said that the property belongs to the institution.
Moreover, the owners of the marriage hall said that the land belongs to Karachi Development Authority (KDA) scheme 41.
