Peshawar: Security forces have foiled an infiltration attempt by Khawarij from the Afghan border and arrested five suspected suicide bombers.
According to security sources, Khawarij advanced toward the Azizkhel and Mandikhel areas after crossing into Pakistani territory.
Due to the presence of security forces, they took refuge in a mosque in the Besikhel area.
Security forces immediately surrounded the mosque. Due to well executed strategy of the security forces, Khawarij surrendered.
All arrested Khawarijj are Afghan nationals, three of them were carrying Afghan national identity cards.
They have been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
