Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Munam Zafar Khan has demanded the Sindh government to stop heavy vehicles entering Karachi as these are responsible for horrific accidents claiming human lives.
Addressing an inauguration ceremony of a plantation drive ” Ayo Orangi Sarsabz Banaye” under the umbrella of JI West at ZMC park.
Commenting on today’s two youth deaths in an accident by a dumper truck on Rashid Minhas road, how much cruel that the heavy traffic claiming people lives in the city adding he said that as many as 550 people have been crushed to death in the accidents so far .
Criticising the city Mayor Murtaza Wahab and the provincial government, he said that the provincial government could not provide Karachi, peace, water and road safety in its continuation of the third government in the province.
He demanded the provincial government immediately imposed ban on the heavy traffic entering in the city.
Moreover, he said that if water were not supplied to Orangi, S.I.T.E and Kemari than there is no need of Hub Canal 2 going to inaugurate on August 13.
