Washington: A large number of Sikhs cast their votes in ongoing referendum in Washington DC, the capital of the United States of America (USA).

The Sikhs severely condemned Indian premier Narendra Modi cruel measures.

The Khalistan referendum is being held at the National Park in Washington. On the occasion, the Khalistan activists said that they wanted freedom from Indian hegemony.

An American court had deported an agent of India Nikhel Gupta and an officer of its intelligence agency RAW over their role in the conspiracy of killing a Sikh leader belonging to the Khalistan movement.

Starting from 2021, the Khalistan referendum has been held in eight countries of the world.
