Talk of PTI and pardon were irresponsible act of journalist Sohail Waraich: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Field Marshal, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munier has not given any interview to any journalist.

The DG ISPR on Thursday in his statement said that the talk of a column of a journalist Sohail Waraich was actually an event of Brussels.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that hundreds of people took pictures in the Brussels event adding that no talk of PTI and any pardon discussed in the Brussels event.

He said that it was an inappropriate act of Sohail Waraich.

He categorically said that such a person who commits an illegal act will must have to come to the court.

When the DGISPR questioned about any action would be taken against the Geo News and the Jang, he responded that we said in a clear words that the institutions should behave responsibly.

“Media should understand that it is not appropriate.” he said.

He expressed regret that the senior journalist behaved irresponsibly.

The DG ISPR said that the army is a responsible institution of the country.
