Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has set a strategy to construct new dams with the complete support of all the chief ministers.
Talking to a private news channel program, Atta Tarar said that new dams were discussed many times while the PM has said early completion of the Diamir Basha dam.
The Minister apprised that in one of meeting Cheif Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur also said that he will provide fund for the construction of the dam.
He said that all the provinces have ensured full support for the construction of the new dams.
He said that no political differentiation will be conducted in addressing the loses of the floods while as the water level recedes the estimation for the loses will be calculated.
He urged the need of plantation and people should be held be accountable over cutting of the trees.
