ISLAMABAD: Sahebzada Hassan Raza has been appointed as the acting Chairman of the Sunni Ittehad Council.
Following the disqualification of Hamed Raza, the Election Commission has appointed Sahebzada Hassan Raza as the interim Chairman of the Sunni Ittehad Council.
Hassan Raza has been designated as the acting Chairman in accordance with the Organization’s constitution, and the Election Commission has also issued a notification confirming his appointment.
The Election Commission stated that Sahebzada Hassan Raza will serve as the acting Chairman until the intra-party by-elections are conducted.
It is noteworthy that Sahebzada Hamed Raza was sentenced by a Anti-Terrorism Court in Faisalabad in the May 9 case, after which the Election Commission issued a notification declaring his ineligibility.
