OMAN: In the fourth match of the 2025 Asia Cup, Pakistan secured a commanding victory over Oman by 93 runs, marking a triumphant start to their campaign. 

Oman’s team was bowled out for just 67 runs while chasing Pakistan’s target of 161 runs.The match was played in Dubai as part of Group A. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat first.Pakistan’s playing XI for the match included: Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Fawad, Muhammad Haris, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha (Captain), Hassan Niazi, Muhammad Niazi, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufiyan Maqeem, and Abrar Ahmed.

The Green Shirts posted a total of 160 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Muhammad Haris played a scintillating innings of 66 off 43 balls. Sahibzada Fawad scored 29 runs, while Fakhar Zaman remained not out with 23 runs.Saim Ayub and Captain Salman Ali Agha both got out for zero. Muhammad Niazi contributed 19 runs, and Hassan Niazi scored 9.

It is noteworthy that this was the first match between Pakistan and Oman in the tournament. Pakistan will face India in their second match on Sunday.
