ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lauded Pakistan’s security forces for their successful operation against Fitna-al-Khawarij terrorists in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, which led to the elimination of seven militants.
In individual statements, both leaders honored Major Sibtain Haider, who was martyred while valiantly fighting in the operation and thwarting the enemy’s malicious plans. President Zardari offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praising Major Sibtain for sacrificing his life in defence of the nation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the unyielding efforts of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, noting that their dedication and bravery in safeguarding the nation are a source of pride for all Pakistanis. Reiterating the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism completely, he emphasized that the battle would continue until every threat to peace is eliminated.
He further affirmed that the nation stands united with its armed forces in their steadfast determination to protect the homeland.
