Meanwhile, the White House responded to the fact that President Donald Trump did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize. It is noteworthy that today, the head of the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences, Georgina Wadner-Fredens, announced that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2025 is awarded to Venezuela’s pro-democracy leader, Maria Corina Machado.
According to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Machado was honored for her efforts to promote democratic rights in Venezuela and for her struggle for a peaceful and just transition from dictatorship to democracy.
