KARACHI: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that October 18, 2007, remains deeply ingrained in the nation’s collective memory.
On the 18th anniversary of the Karsaz tragedy, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid homage to the martyrs and reflected on the historic day when over three million people welcomed Shaheed Benazir Bhutto upon her return home.
He underscored that it was a day of unparalleled sacrifice, as 180 brave individuals lost their lives in pursuit of a democratic Pakistan. He remarked that dictatorship and terrorism joined forces to orchestrate a devastating attack on the caravan of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that those behind the assault aimed to extinguish the flame of democracy, but the sacrifices of the martyrs served only to keep that flame burning brighter.
He reaffirmed his commitment to carrying forward the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and honoring the legacy of those who gave their lives during the Karsaz tragedy.
