ISLAMABAD: The formation of the Azad Kashmir government is set to take a significant step today, with President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari scheduled for an important meeting.
This meeting, focused on the government formation in Azad Kashmir, will take place at the Presidency later this evening. Sources indicate that PML-N ministers will accompany Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while the PPP delegation, led by Bilawal, will also participate.
The PPP representatives are expected to include Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, and Sherry Rehman. The government’s side will feature figures such as Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, and Amir Maqbool.
Discussions will reportedly cover both the broader political landscape of the country and specific issues tied to establishing the government in Azad Kashmir. During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto plans to present the name of the proposed new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir to Shahbaz Sharif and will extend another invitation for the PML-N to take part in the Azad Kashmir cabinet.
