LAHORE: World Bank’s Global Director for Climate Change, Valerie Hickey, has praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her efforts to address climate change impact in the province.
During a meeting in Brazil, Valerie Hickey appreciated Punjab’s environment-friendly initiatives and said the province has become a symbol of global commitment to mitigate environmental challenges.
She also endorsed the Chief Minister’s remarks at COP30 and assured full cooperation to Punjab government in projects related to air quality, transport, aforestation and wildlife.
