WEB DESK: Superstar Fawad Khan is widely regarded as Pakistan’s most beloved actor, yet he remains one of the most private celebrities in the industry. Known for his aversion to social media, he primarily uses it to promote his professional ventures rather than engage in frequent online activity.
During a recent appearance on a comedy show alongside fellow A-lister Mahira Khan to promote their upcoming film Neelofer, a fan inquired, “Why don’t we see you much on social media?”
In response, the actor said, “I don’t want to answer this because many people are active on social media, and they might take offense.” However, he candidly added, “The truth is, I’m simply not fond of it. If I meet fans in person or have the chance to talk to them directly, I am more than happy to do so.”
Fawad further explained that his decision is also influenced by self-awareness: “It’s something that makes me think I might end up becoming addicted to social media. I would rather keep it out of my life.”
When the host asked if this mindset keeps him away from online platforms, Fawad elaborated more earnestly: “Yes, it does. I’m an emotional person. Once you’re active on social media, it becomes challenging to maintain self-control.”
While Fawad prefers to stay out of the digital spotlight, his co-star Mahira Khan enjoys a vibrant online presence, with 11.7 million followers on Instagram.
