WEB DESK: The United Kingdom has deported Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt, who boarded a flight back to Pakistan on Tuesday morning following the cancellation of his UK visa.
According to reports, the visa was revoked due to Butt’s alleged failure to disclose ongoing legal proceedings against him during the visa application process.
The deportation was preceded by a closer examination of Butt’s activities in the UK. During this review, authorities reportedly uncovered legal cases flagged by Pakistani institutions that had not been disclosed.
In light of these findings, the UK government issued an official notice demanding Butt’s immediate departure from the country.
A source connected to Butt confirmed the deportation, while TikToker Nadeem Naniwala disclosed that he was traveling alongside Butt to Pakistan.
Upon their arrival, the Islamabad High Court granted protective bail to Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala on Tuesday, ensuring they would not face arrest at Islamabad Airport.
The decision followed multiple legal cases against the two influencers, including allegations related to cybercrime.
Justice Raja Inam Amin of the Islamabad High Court issued orders preventing their immediate arrest upon landing. He has directed both individuals to appear in person before the court the following day.
