WEB DESK: Australian actress Rachael Carpani, widely recognized for her roles in McLeod’s Daughters and Home and Away, has passed away at the age of 45 following a prolonged battle with a chronic illness, as confirmed by her family.

In a statement shared on social media, her parents, Tony and Gael Carpani, announced that Rachael passed away in the early hours of December 7. They expressed their immense grief over the loss and shared that her illness had been a long-standing struggle.

The news of her passing was initially disclosed on Instagram, where her family shared their sorrow, stating that Rachael, known for her beloved portrayal of Jodi Fountain in the hit Australian series McLeod’s Daughters, succumbed to complications related to her chronic condition.

Rachael Carpani was a celebrated figure in Australian television, best remembered for her role as Jodi Fountain. Beyond McLeod’s Daughters, she had prominent roles in NCIS: Los Angeles, The Rachels, If There Be Thorns, The Glades, and Lifetime’s Against the Wall, where she played the lead.
