University of Lahore student falls to death from Campus Building

LAHORE: A student of the University of Lahore (UOL) lost his life on Friday after reportedly falling from the fourth floor of a campus building. The incident is currently being examined as a potential case of suicide.

The student, identified as Awais Sultan, sustained severe injuries after the fall under unclear circumstances. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately died due to his injuries.

The event sparked alarm and chaos across the university premises. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine whether the fall was accidental or a deliberate act. The university has yet to issue an official statement regarding the tragedy.

Social media reports indicate that Awais Sultan was a fifth-semester student enrolled in the Department of Pharmacy. A video circulating online shows security personnel and university staff gathered near the site of the incident.

In a related incident last month, five students from Dow Medical University drowned at Manora Himalaya Beach in Karachi. Officials confirmed that three bodies had been recovered, while two students were rescued in critical condition. The victims, identified as Sharib, Ashhad Abbas, and Ahmed, had gone to the beach for a picnic. Their bodies were transported to a medical facility for further procedures.
