Four soldiers martyred as security forces repel attack in North Waziristan’s Boya; civilians injured

N.WAZIRISTAN: In a brutal attack on Friday, security forces’ camp in the Boya area of North Waziristan came under assault, resulting in the martyrdom of four soldiers.

During the incident, terrorists rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the camp’s outer perimeter wall, causing it to collapse and damaging nearby civilian infrastructure, including a mosque. Additionally, fifteen civilians comprising women and children suffered injuries due to the blast, according to an official statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing reported that the terrorists, identified as members of the Indian-backed group Fitna al Khwarij, initiated the attack in North Waziristan. Despite their attempt to breach security, the vigilant and disciplined response by Pakistani troops thwarted their plans. In the face of the attack, all four terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, were neutralized.

During the firefight, four brave Pakistani soldiers—Havildar Muhammad Waqas (42, from Kotli), Naik Khanwaiz (38, from Mansehra), Sepoy Sufyan Haider (25, from Vehari), and Sepoy Riffat (32, from Leyyah)—fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifice, embracing Shahadat.

The ISPR condemned the terrorist act, which they described as a cowardly and heinous act orchestrated by Khwarij elements based in Afghanistan. The statement emphasized that this violence starkly contradicts claims made by the Afghan Taliban regime of not harboring such terrorist groups.

Pakistan has called on the interim Afghan government to uphold its responsibilities and prevent the use of Afghan soil by these terrorists. Pakistan reaffirmed its right to pursue and eliminate Khwarij militants and their facilitators to protect the security and lives of its citizens, asserting that the safety of Pakistan’s people is its top priority.
