Pakistan’s U19 Asia Cup heroes return home after crushing India

ISLAMABAD: The triumphant Pakistan Under-19 cricket team, which secured a dominant victory over arch-rivals India in the U19 Asia Cup final, received a hero’s welcome upon their return to Islamabad International Airport.

A massive crowd of enthusiastic fans thronged the airport to greet the young champions, filling the atmosphere with energetic chants supporting the national team.

The celebrations were vibrant, featuring drumbeats, traditional dances, and cascading showers of flower petals to honor the players’ achievement.

The team touched down from Dubai on a special PIA flight, PK-212, and was warmly received by Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiani.

Later today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet with the victorious squad as part of the government’s plans to acknowledge and applaud their remarkable performance, particularly their landmark victory against India.

In a message to the nation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistan Under-19 team and rejoiced in their achievement, calling it a moment of pride for the country.

The prime minister also commended the efforts of team management, including Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, for their role in this success.
