Trains back on track in Balochistan after 24-hour suspension

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railway authorities have announced the restoration of train services across Balochistan and connections to other provinces after a one-day suspension.

Operations for the Jaffar Express, Bolan Mail, and Chaman Passenger were briefly halted due to security-related concerns.

The Chaman Passenger resumed its journey from Quetta to Chaman as per schedule, while the Jaffar Express departed for Peshawar on time. The Bolan Mail is set to leave Quetta on December 28 as planned.

Officials from Pakistan Railways have reassured that the disruption lasted only a single day and that services are now fully back to normal.

It should be highlighted that train services between Balochistan and other provinces were paused for one day on Thursday owing to security considerations. Both the Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar and the Bolan Mail traveling from Quetta to Karachi had to be canceled during this period.
