Respectful islamic scholar mufti Mukhtar-ud-Din shah passes away

HANGU: The esteemed Islamic scholar Mufti Syed Mukhtar-ud-Din Shah has sadly passed away.

Mufti Syed Mukhtar-ud-Din Shah served as the Sheikh-ul-Hadith at Jamia Zakariya Dar-ul-Aman in Kargoha Sharif, Hangu, and was also a respected trustee of the Federation of Madrasahs of Pakistan.

He was the author of numerous religious and reform-oriented publications. His shrine in Kargoha Sharif, Hangu, was renowned for its role in education, spiritual guidance, and community reform.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of Mufti Syed Mukhtar-ud-Din Shah. He described him as a precious asset to the Muslim Ummah, and lamented his passing. Maulana Fazlur Rehman commended how, despite the challenges of a less-developed region like Kargoha, he shone as a beacon of faith, sincerity, and piety, inspiring many in the community.

He further emphasized that Mufti Mukhtar-ud-Din Shah’s extensive contributions spanning religious, scholarly, spiritual, and literary fields—will be remembered forever. He offered his heartfelt condolences and regarded himself as among those who share in the grief.

The funeral prayer for the departed will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, at 2:00 PM at the Dar-ul-Eman and Taqwa Center in Kargoha Sharif, Hangu.
