DPM offer condolences over the demise of Khaleda Zia  

DHAKA: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visits Bangladesh HC, offers condolences over demise of Khaleda Zia

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar visited Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to offer condolences over the death of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, Ishaq Dar condoles the death of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. The Deputy Prime Minister also recorded his impressions in the condolence book at the Bangladesh High Commission. 

Foreign Office Spokesperson said Dar said “with deep sorrow and grief, I express my condolences on the passing away of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.” 

“I express my heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf to the government and people of Bangladesh, the family of the deceased and their supporters”. 

Begum Khaleda Zia dedicated her life to public service and the welfare of her nation. Deputy Prime Minister lauded her steadfastness and leadership in difficult times. Dar said she will be remembered with respect by all those who value service to the country and nation. 

DPM said during this difficult time, the people of Pakistan express their complete solidarity with the people of Bangladesh. “We share your grief and pray for you”, Ishaq Dar concluded.
