ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting led by Mohsin Naqvi took place, with key officials including the Federal Secretary of Interior, Additional Secretary of Interior, DG FIA, and Directors overseeing Karachi and Lahore zones in attendance.
The discussion focused on evaluating the performance of the FIA Immigration Wing and the ongoing initiatives to combat illegal immigration and human smuggling.
Additionally, the meeting addressed enforcement efforts against professional beggar syndicates. Mohsin Naqvi directed authorities to maintain a zero-tolerance policy and continue vigorous operations against all groups engaged in illegal immigration and trafficking activities, with no exceptions.
The Interior Minister underscored that individuals involved in human trafficking are not to be given any leniency. He called for strengthening immigration checks at airports and implementing more rigorous screening procedures for travel documents.
Naqvi reaffirmed that Pakistan will not compromise on its reputation and will take decisive action against any activities that damage the country’s image.
