11 Militants killed in KP Intelligence-Based Operations: ISPR

N.WAZIRISTAN: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 11 militants during separate intelligence-driven operations in the North Waziristan and Kurram districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the actions targeted foreign-sponsored terrorist elements operating in the region. In North Waziristan, security forces neutralized six militants linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna-ul-Kharaj after acting on verified intelligence. The operation involved an intense gun battle, during which terrorist hideouts were effectively destroyed.

In a separate incident, a coordinated operation involving law enforcement agencies and security forces in Kurram district led to the killing of five more militants during a controlled engagement.

ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in multiple terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces and civilians. The successful operations foiled planned acts of violence and disrupted militant networks in the area.

The military reaffirmed that clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining foreign-backed terrorist elements from the province. These efforts fall under the federally endorsed “Azm-e-Istihkam” campaign within the framework of the National Action Plan (NAP), underscoring Pakistan’s resolve to ensure peace and security.

Security forces remain committed to intelligence-led actions aimed at dismantling cross-border terror networks and safeguarding civilians, law enforcement personnel, and national security.
