ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has revealed plans for a series of protests and public gatherings following Eid to address concerns over inflation and escalating political instability in the nation.
The inaugural rally is set for April 12 in Mardan, where Maulana Fazlur Rehman will personally speak to attendees. In advance of this event, the JUI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa branch has been directed to coordinate logistics and rally party supporters.
Sources within the party indicated that additional rallies and public meetings will be scheduled after the Mardan gathering, signaling a sustained effort to draw attention to economic hardships and political issues faced by citizens nationwide.
This move underscores JUI’s renewed emphasis on grassroots activism and public outreach, aiming to highlight the pressing problems of inflation and governance that impact ordinary people.
