KARACHI: Ten judges of the Sindh High Court sworn in as permanent judges during a formal ceremony held at the court premises.
The judges elevated to permanent positions include Justice Miran Muhammad Shah, Justice Tasneem Sultana, Justice Riyazat Ali Sahar, Justice Muhammad Hassan Akbar, Justice Abdul Hameed Bharghari, Justice Jan Ali Junejo, Justice Nisar Ahmed, Justice Ali Haider Ada, Justice Usman Ali Hadi, and Justice Jafar Raza.
Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, officiated the oath-taking ceremony for the newly confirmed judges. These judges had previously been serving in the capacity of additional judges at the same court.
The ceremony was attended by fellow judges of the Sindh High Court, the Additional Attorney General, the Advocate General of Sindh, the Prosecutor General, members of the legal fraternity, and family members of the newly confirmed judges.
In related developments, Justice Khalid Hussain Shahani and Justice Faiz-ul-Hassan Shah were not granted permanent status. However, their terms as additional judges have been extended for another six months.
