RAWALPINDI: Security forces have successfully concluded Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 in Balochistan, carrying out a series of swift and intelligence-driven operations targeting terrorist elements reportedly backed by Indian sponsors, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
The operations commenced on January 29, 2026, in Panjgur and the outskirts of Harnai District after credible intelligence verified the presence of terrorists posing an imminent threat to public safety, as stated by ISPR.
During the initial phase, security forces launched targeted actions against identified terrorist hideouts, neutralizing 41 individuals linked to Indian proxy networks. These coordinated responses by the security personnel thwarted desperate attempts by the group referred to as “Fitna al Hindustan” to destabilize peace in Balochistan. Expanded intelligence-based operations subsequently followed, targeting multiple regions to dismantle sleeper cells through methodical reconnaissance, combing, and sanitization efforts.
Through precise planning, actionable intelligence, and seamlessly coordinated execution, security forces and law enforcement agencies—supported by Pakistan’s intelligence apparatus under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1—acted with unwavering determination. This campaign led to the elimination of 216 terrorists, effectively crippling the leadership, command structures, and operational capacities of these hostile networks.
A significant cache of foreign-supplied weaponry, ammunition, explosives, and equipment was also seized during the operations. Preliminary investigations suggest these extremist proxies received systematic external facilitation and logistical backing.
Despite these successes, the country paid a heavy price as 36 civilians, including women and children, tragically lost their lives. Additionally, 22 courageous members of the security forces and law enforcement agencies made the ultimate sacrifice, demonstrating unparalleled bravery in defending Pakistan’s territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
The steadfast dedication and professionalism displayed by these individuals reflect the highest traditions of service. The nation stands united in honoring their sacrifice and supporting the families of all martyrs.
The Pakistan Armed Forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating terrorism in all forms. Under the framework of the Government of Pakistan’s National Action Plan (NAP), anti-terror operations will persist with full intensity until all threats are eliminated.
Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 serves as a profound testament to Pakistan’s enduring resilience. It reflects the people of Balochistan’s preference for peace over chaos, unity over division, and progress over conflict.
