ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have jointly congratulated the Pakistani people on the successful deployment of the country’s second domestically developed Electro-Optical Satellite (EO-2).
In a statement issued today, President Zardari praised the dedication and expertise of the scientists, engineers, and researchers at SUPARCO for their role in the development and launch of EO-2. He also expressed gratitude to the government and institutions of China for their valuable cooperation throughout the project.
President Zardari highlighted that this achievement marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s space science capabilities and signifies a deepening of the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China in the realm of space technology.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the efforts of the scientific community involved in the EO-2 project. He emphasized that the satellite will play a crucial role in gathering vital data, supporting climate monitoring, urban development, and environmental management initiatives.
Both leaders reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing its space program and leveraging technological innovations for the nation’s progress.
