ISLAMABAD: Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, a senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan released a statement confirming that Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari experienced a cardiac incident last night and was quickly moved to a private medical facility in Islamabad for treatment.
The organization further stated that his condition is being closely monitored and he is receiving medical care.
Prominent leaders, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Kamran Murtaza, and several others, paid a visit to the hospital to check on his health.
