Field Marshal Asim Munir vows to deepen Pak-UAE partnership

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Commander of Defence Forces, reinforced on Monday that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are intrinsically linked to Pakistan’s own security. This statement highlighted the enduring historical ties and strong strategic partnership shared between the two nations.

During his official visit to Abu Dhabi, the Field Marshal met with Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor of the UAE, according to a press release issued by ISPR. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, notably in areas such as economic collaboration, investment, and security.

The meeting also involved an exchange of perspectives on regional developments, underscoring the necessity of sustained coordination to foster peace and stability across the region.

Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE government for its longstanding investments in Pakistan’s economy and its continuous support in bolstering Pakistan’s security over several decades. He emphasized that such cooperation exemplifies the robust and deeply rooted relationship between the two brotherly nations. Furthermore, he lauded the UAE leadership’s pivotal role in promoting economic and social progress in Pakistan.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment, he underscored the importance of joint efforts to deepen collaboration in various spheres.
