SC receives report on jail facilities for PTI founder

ISLAMABAD: A report detailing the facilities provided to the PTI founder at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, has been submitted to the Supreme Court.

According to the report filed by the jail superintendent, the PTI founder is being held in a separate compound consisting of seven cells, with accommodation capacity for 35 prisoners. The compound also includes a 57-foot-long and 14-foot-wide corridor in front.

The report states that a 35 by 37-foot lawn has been allocated for him, where he takes walks and reads newspapers and books. He has also been provided with a cycling machine and gym equipment for exercise.

As per the superintendent’s report, his breakfast includes dates, walnuts, honey, coffee, porridge, lassi, and chia seeds, along with fresh sweet lime and pomegranate juice.

Lunch consists of desi chicken, mutton, salad, pickles, potato chips, fried egg, and mixed dal. Evening meals include almonds, raisins, coconut powder, dates, and shakes made from banana and apple.

The report maintains that the PTI founder is being provided with all basic and additional facilities in jail.
