KARACHI: A fire has broken out at a textile manufacturing plant in Karachi’s SITE area. Firefighting teams from different parts of the city have been deployed to control the blaze, utilizing six fire tenders.
Chief Fire Officer Humayun Ahmed stated that the fire has been categorized as a third-degree incident, prompting the deployment of additional firefighting equipment, including snorkel lifts and water tankers, to aid in extinguishing the flames.
Meanwhile, Sindh IG Javed Alam Odho has ordered police officials to respond immediately to the scene. He also emphasized the importance of securing the factory and nearby areas to prevent any escalation or further damage.
