TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that Iran’s response will grow stronger if pressure on the country intensifies.
In a statement, the president said Iran would never bow to intimidation, injustice, or aggression. “The more pressure that is imposed on Iran, the stronger our response will be,” he said, adding that the country would turn the enemy’s ambitions into a nightmare.
Pezeshkian also reiterated that Iran seeks friendly relations with regional countries, but emphasized that this approach does not mean Tehran will abandon its right to defend itself against the United States.
The Iranian president clarified that recent strikes carried out by Iran were not directed at neighboring states. Instead, he said the attacks targeted U.S. military installations and facilities in the region.
“We did not attack our friendly neighboring countries; our strikes were aimed at American military bases,” Pezeshkian stated, stressing that the operations were part of Iran’s response to rising tensions.
