Explosions in Kabul, Nangarhar as Pakistan targets Taliban bases

RAWALPINDI: According to reports from Dunya News, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched a series of airstrikes in Afghanistan late on March 16, targeting positions linked to the Afghan Taliban in both Kabul and Nangarhar.

The operation was described as a response to what officials called unprovoked actions by the Taliban administration.

Security officials stated that in Kabul, multiple sites associated with technical and logistical support were hit, including facilities believed to store ammunition. They noted that large explosions and subsequent fires at the locations suggested the presence of significant explosive stockpiles.

Officials also rejected claims made by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, who alleged that a medical facility had been struck, calling the accusation unfounded.

In Nangarhar province, additional strikes reportedly targeted several طالبان-linked installations. According to sources, these attacks resulted in the destruction of logistics hubs, ammunition depots, and nearby technical infrastructure.

Authorities indicated that the military campaign, referred to as Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, is ongoing and will continue until its stated goals are achieved.
