KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop ahead of Eid, offering relief to buyers and investors across the country.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola fell sharply by Rs24,300, bringing it down to Rs499,462.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs20,833, settling at Rs428,208.

In the international market, gold prices also witnessed a major decrease, dropping by $243 to reach $4,767 per ounce.

Market analysts said the sharp decline ahead of Eid could boost buying activity, as consumers take advantage of lower prices during the festive season.
