WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that a potential agreement with Iran could be reached by Monday.
According to Fox News, following an interview with the president. Trump also mentioned that Iran is currently engaged in negotiations.Earlier on Sunday, Trump posted a fiery message on social media threatening to target Iran’s infrastructure, warning that on Tuesday, the U.S. will strike Iran’s power plants and bridges if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day in Iran like never before!” he tweeted on Truth Social, referencing the strategic shipping route Tehran has shut down following recent attacks by the U.S. and Israel.
Additionally, Trump announced he will hold a press conference on Monday in the Oval Office, after the U.S. military rescued two pilots whose aircraft were shot down over Iran.
