KARACHI: In the PSL match held in Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi secured a comprehensive victory over Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi batted first and scored 173 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Kohsahl Mendonces contributed 74 runs, while captain Babar Azam scored 43. Lahore Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi took three wickets, and Mustafizur Rahman claimed two.
Chasing the target, Lahore Qalandars’ batting line-up faltered again, and the team was bowled out for 97 runs in 17 overs. Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafiq scored 21 each, while Will Jacks added 20.
For Zalmi, Michael Breswal and Sufiain Maqeem each took three wickets.
This is Lahore Qalandars’ second consecutive defeat in Karachi, with their team being dismissed for 100 or fewer runs in both matches.
