ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday to review the evolving situation in the region, particularly rising tensions between Iran and the United States.
The meeting was also attended by Ishaq Dar and the premier’s adviser Tariq Fatemi.
During the discussion, the prime minister emphasized the need for continued diplomatic efforts and encouraged Iran to take part in the upcoming phase of negotiations with Washington. He reiterated that dialogue remains essential for ensuring regional peace and stability.
The Iranian envoy welcomed Pakistan’s role in facilitating talks and acknowledged Islamabad’s efforts to promote a peaceful resolution, including its readiness to host negotiations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also conveyed his best wishes to Mojtaba Khamenei, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining positive and cooperative ties with Iran’s leadership.
