KP Police to introduce updated uniforms for field officers

PESHAWAR: The police force in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is set to undergo a uniform update for officers working in the field. The Central Police Office has drafted the “Uniform Field Operational 2026 Regulations,” outlining new attire guidelines for frontline officers.

Under the proposed design, male officers will wear a grey shirt paired with khaki six-pocket trousers and black footwear. Female officers will be provided with a black scarf as part of their uniform, with shirts tailored to reach the trousers’ pocket level.

The new uniform standards will ensure uniformity in colours, badges, caps, and overall design across the entire province. Additionally, personnel from the merged districts will receive uniforms identical to those in other districts.

It is clarified that these changes will only affect officers on operational duty, with no modifications planned for administrative or office-based staff. All police personnel will also wear matching black belts and shoes.

The draft of the new uniform regulations is currently pending approval from the provincial government, following submission by the Central Police Office of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
