Universities asked to provide volunteers for PM’s petrol relief initiative

ISLAMABAD: Higher education institutions have been requested to nominate students to support the rollout of the Prime Minister’s Petrol Relief Project, helping citizens and petrol pump staff use the Petrol Relief App effectively.

According to an official letter, three volunteers will be assigned to each petrol station, and they will receive online training before deployment.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the targeted Petrol Relief Package to ease the burden of rising fuel prices on low-income groups and the transport sector.

The scheme offers a subsidy of Rs100 per litre for motorcycle and rickshaw owners, with a monthly limit of 20 litres, enabling savings of up to Rs2,000 per month.
