ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have finalized a deal to establish a coalition government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nasheed Qamar, a senior PPP leader, told Geo News that both parties have agreed to work together to govern Gilgit-Baltistan. He confirmed that an agreement has been made regarding key positions, including the appointment of the Governor and Deputy Speaker.
Qamar mentioned that the Governor and Deputy Speaker roles will go to PML-N, while the Chief Minister position will be held by PPP.
Sources indicated that high-level discussions and meetings between the leadership of both parties took place yesterday, culminating in this alliance.
According to insiders, PPP will secure control of the Gilgit-Baltistan government with the backing of PML-N votes.
