ISLAMABAD: The funeral of Group Captain Asim Tariq Shaheed, who lost his life while heroically intervening to rescue a woman in distress in Islamabad, was held on Tuesday, according to a statement from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The brave officer was laid to rest with full military honors, honoring his extraordinary courage, dedication, and sense of duty.
The funeral was attended by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff, along with senior military officials, airmen, and a large number of civilians who gathered to pay their respects and honor his sacrifice.
During the ceremony, the Chief of the Air Staff paid a heartfelt tribute to Group Captain Asim Tariq Shaheed, emphasizing that his sacrifice reflects the highest traditions of the Pakistan Air Force and the broader armed forces.
