President, PM condemn terrorist assault on police checkpost in Ziarat

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have unequivocally condemned the recent terrorist attack carried out by Fitna al-Khawarij on a police checkpoint in Ziarat.

In their respective statements, both leaders paid homage to the bravery and dedication of the police officers and personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The President emphasized that every effort to destabilize peace and stability in Balochistan will be thwarted, reaffirming the government’s resolve to continue counter-terrorism operations with unwavering determination. He also prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and a speedy recovery for the injured, praising the security forces and law enforcement agencies for their relentless efforts in safeguarding the nation.

Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. He condemned the attack by Fitna al-Khawarij, describing it as a clear indication that these extremist elements pose a grave threat to the progress, peace, and prosperity of Balochistan. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and stated that the fight against terrorism would persist until these elements are fully eradicated. He also commended the security forces for their successful operation, which resulted in the elimination of fifteen terrorists during a recent clearance effort.
