KARACHI: The family of an engineer aboard the missing K2 Cargo Airways flight has appealed for updates as search efforts continue for the aircraft that disappeared while travelling from Sharjah to Karachi.
The cargo plane, which lost contact on Wednesday night, was carrying five crew members. Those on board have been identified as Captain Muhammad Rizwan, First Officer Faisal Mahmood, Loadmaster Muhammad Toufiq Khan, Engineer Arif Siddiqui, and Muhammad Hamid.
Speaking to the media, Engineer Arif Siddiqui’s son said his father worked for Northern Tec and that company representatives had remained in close contact with the family since the aircraft went missing.
He added that officials from both the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the Pakistan Navy had also been coordinating with the family and keeping them informed about ongoing efforts.
According to family members, Arif Siddiqui is survived by his wife, five sons, and three daughters, who continue to wait anxiously for any information regarding his whereabouts.
