QUETTA : A militant affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has voluntarily surrendered to security forces and announced his disassociation from the organization.
In a video message, Arman Baloch explained that he had traveled to Iran with a friend seeking employment but was kidnapped by terrorists and taken to remote mountainous regions. He revealed that he later met BLF commander Qamar Brohi and subsequently joined the group.
Arman Baloch stated that he spent six months with the BLF, during which he received militant training and took part in two attacks in the districts of Tump and Buleda. However, he said he came to realize that his path was wrong and expressed a desire to leave the organization and return to his family.
He recounted that when he voiced his intention to quit, he was subjected to torture by fellow members. In his statement, he committed to never again engaging in illegal activities and asked for forgiveness from national institutions.
Additionally, Baloch urged the youth of Balochistan to reject the false promises and propaganda propagated by terror groups. “I call on young people to stay loyal to their country and be responsible citizens,” he emphasized.
Authorities noted that his surrender is part of a broader pattern of individuals abandoning militancy and distancing themselves from banned groups operating within Balochistan.
